"I'm not that insatiable," Sansa says, voice barely above a whisper. She had only wanted to love him a little, to be sweet to him, and she's been caught at it. He seems to be in good spirits about it, though.
"I thought you were tired," Sansa says, flushing bright when he pulls her up to straddle him. She hadn't told him her confession to rile him, only to confess a secret to someone she cared for.
"I do want it," Sansa says, lashes sweeping down to hide her eyes from him. She feels exposed and shy at the moment, on display, and she hopes he can forgive her for wanting to hide a little.
"In my dreams, I want it. I just get frightened it's going to hurt."
Jake sucked in a shuddering breath, his own eyes fluttering shut. "And the fear of hurting might actually make you hurt, because you're scared."
His eyes opened and he looked up at Sansa. "I've had my fingers in you. I don't think I can go very deep in you, but see how you're sitting right now? You can take me like that, and control how much of me you want inside. Would that help? Knowing you are in control?"
Sansa shakes her head. "No, not now. I shouldn't."
She isn't sure what she's waiting for, really, as she isn't a maiden and won't ever be again but she feels tense and shy and frightened. The panic cloys at her and scratches her throat and she wants to escape; she fists her hands in the sheets.
"I am not your lady wife," Sansa says, pressing her lips together. Her
fingers are still tangled in the sheets and she wonders if she should be
doing this with him, if this is allowed. Should she, really?
This city isn't as strict on the relations between men and women, true, but
Sansa is worried.
He nodded. "We are lovers. But not married. Is that important to you? For me, I'm happy as long as you want to be with me, no matter if we're married or not."
"Only a husband is to be inside me like that," Sansa says, taking in a
sharp breath. "But you've had me in other ways a husband is supposed to
have me. I don't know. Jake, I don't feel ready."
Sansa thinks that's an acceptable enough explanation.
Sansa curls up against his chest and lets out a breath she didn't quite
realize she'd been holding. She's been so worked up and worried that it's
nice to relax.
"I don't want to lose you," Sansa says, tucking her head in against the
crook of his neck. She's so worried about that, about displeasing him, and
she thinks it contributes to her fear and her anguish. She's a strong
woman, yes, and she can endure most anything but she's tired of
having to endure.
"You're kind to me," Sansa agrees. "And more than I ever could have hoped for in a lover. I am glad that I came to this place and met you, Jake. I am so glad."?
Sansa laughs softly. "I know. I think I wanted a date and a sleepover. Is that allowed, Jake? Or should I have been more considerate of your need for sleep?"
